Here at Deemer's Stray Acres our boarders quickly become "family" here.
Aly - Great young lady who works hard, lives in Kalamazoo and leads a full filling life. She is the owner of Flying with Eitan (Flying with my hero). She spends as much time with us as she can is a true blessing to our family. She's like a daughter to us and a great mother to Eitan. We could not have placed Eitan with a more caring mom.
Jessica - Another hard working, lovely young lady, still going to school, takes care of her mom and lives in St. Joseph. She has a heart the size of Texas and just a wonderful horse owner. We've watched Jess go from beginner to confident intermediate. It's been a true joy to have her here and watch her grow with Harley. She's like a daughter to us.
Dianne - Is a one of a kind. She's hardworking, fun to be with, lives in Kalamazoo and has become a good friend. She has lots knowledge to share of equine care and lessons. She's truly a knowledgeable counterpart here at the farm and proud owner of Gypsy and Apache.
Emily - we're still getting to know Emily but sure glad her and Ruby are here with us. We are having lots of fun with Emily and Elizabeth and so grateful they drive all the way from Portage to be with us.
Elizabeth - is also new the farm and we're still getting to know her (she's Emily's sister). Elizabeth has the cutest little arab mare that you've ever seen - you want to put her in your pocket. We're looking to lots of fun times with Elizabeth and Chaniynah!
Katie - is brand new on 6/1/09. We're still getting to know Katie but I (Mikkii) personally had lots of fun with her helping her find the perfect horse for her. Her and Cody make a good match. Katie needs something to spoil and Cody deserves to be spoiled all she can. She's just a nice mare all the way around and so far so is Katie. We're looking forward to lots of good times with them! Katie today purchased her 2nd horse - our Brumby boy - they look so good together - we can't wait to watch the two of them bond and be a great team!
Alix - is our youngest boarder at the age of 13. Alix came and brought her little pony Moka to us last year as well for the riding season. We're glad to have them back this year. We hope for many many more riding seasons with them. Their a joy to be with.
We pride ourselves on the fact that each and every one of our boarders drives over one hour one way to keep their mounts with us. After having searched and searched for the perfect farm for them they chose our little "piece of heaven". We're very thankful for them and their mounts.
**We would like to add that Amy, Tess and Haven along with their mounts Zee, MonAmi, Fantasy, Loden and Zora are greatly missed everyday. That was the worst part of the move was leaving behind some of our "horsey family".
